Abstract
In this study, An attempt is made to healthese cracks by the addition of the bacteria in the concrete and also to increase the strength of the concrete. The applicability of specifically calcite mineral precipitating bacteria to fill the cracks in concrete and the bacteria chosen must be as stainable and must have these lf healing capacity and the bacteria used must not be harmful to the environment and it must be anonpathogenic. The bacteria that is used in this experimental investigation is bacilluslicheni form is. Further in this study to overcome the excessive rivers and mining the fine aggregate is replaced by the quarry dust. Quarry dust is produced from the gravel crushers and it is added to different proportions to the concrete. It is found that the cracks in the concrete have been healed and the formation of calcite precipitation is observe dusing scanning electron micros copy(SEM).The results have alsos how nan increase in strength of the concrete. It has shown the best results with 60% replacement of quarry dust and remaining 40% fine aggregate.
